We are committed to teaching
and preaching the Word of God in the manner that Jesus Christ proclaimed it. We
proclaim the gospel in truthfulness and simplicity; not adding to or taking away
any precepts found in the Word. We are convinced the gospel has the power to
heal the brokenhearted, deliver the captives, give sight to the spiritually
blind, and hope to the hopeless by directing them to the way of eternal life
through Jesus Christ.

Our Pastor
Pastor Norris Sexton is a native of Calhoun, GA. He has been the pastor of Barrett Road Church of God since its beginning in 1984. He married his wife, Wilma, in 1965. Both enrolled in and completed the Ministerial Internship sponsored by The Church of God. He is an ordained Bishop of the Church of God and she is a licensed Minister.
In 1995 Pastor Sexton received his degree in Religion and Philosophy with a minor in communications from Shorter college. That same year, Mrs. Sexton obtained her degree in Church Recreation with a minor in Religion, also from Shorter.
